Writing Diversely is a resource hub that helps authors, writers, and creators tell diverse and inclusive stories. We offer a range of services, from sensitivity readings to editing and writing, and even consulting and workshops to support storytellers of all kinds craft inclusive and authentic narratives.

When a writer is exploring identities and experiences different than their own in a project, they may be concerned about portraying them with authenticity and depth.

Sensitivity readers can offer an informed perspective and identify opportunities for characters and content to be developed with nuance.

A sensitivity reader is not an editor. The role is often misunderstood, with some thinking it limits creativity or imposes restrictions on a writer’s work. However, the goal is to highlight and address unconscious biases that might seep into our work, not to prevent us from exploring diverse characters and stories.
